DCA Services

The DCA provides services in three major areas:

  • Records Management
  • Reference and Research
  • Digital Services

Records Management

The DCA's Records Management Program provides services to all offices of the University by helping them efficiently manage their University records. It helps departments ensure that their records are retrievable, reliable, secure, and trustworthy.

Reference and Research

The DCA offers extensive reference services to promote access and use of its collections. Complete information can be found the Research Help portion of this website.

Digital Services

The DCA, in partnership with UIT Academic Technology (AT) provides a variety of services relating to the creation, management, discovery, and delivery of digital collections and assets.

Tufts Digital Library

The Tufts Digital Library (TDL) is the main access application for publicly available content in the Tufts Digital Repository. It currently features a wide array of content including materials on the history of Tufts, London, music history, and much more.

Storage and Consulting Services

In conjunction with Academic Technology, DCA provides consulting assistance on creating and building digital collections including metadata creation, standards and best practices for digitization, and a variety of related information. We also provide assistance with the development of specialized applications and tools for interacting with the repository. Contact the DCA for more information.

Digitization Services

The DCA offers limited digitization services for members of the Tufts community on a time available basis.
