Guide to Collections

Arrangement and Finding Aids

Institutional records and manuscript collections are arranged by the office of origin or the person who created the papers in the first place. Exceptions are legacy files for which the office of origin could not be determined. Such legacy files are organized by broad subjects.

Collection level information and finding aids are available through the Tufts Digital Library interface and its search and view options. Not all collections have detailed finding aids (box and folder/item listings) and these unprocessed collections may not be available for research. If you are interested in a particular unprocessed collection, please contact the DCA.
