Digital Collections and Archives COVID-19 Updates

DCA is adhering to University policies and guidelines regarding COVID-19. For the latest Tufts University updates please visit https://coronavirus.tufts.edu/.

This page is intended to provide updates regarding DCA and access to our services and the collections under our stewardship.

As of September 2021 our Reading Room is open to Tufts students, faculty, and staff by appointment only. Please email archives@tufts.edu to schedule a research visit.

As of September 2021 DCA staff are working onsite as part of a rotating schedule. While not onsite, staff continue to work remotely answering reference questions and research inquiries using digital resources and working on metadata, digital processing, planning, and other projects.

We will do our best to respond to research questions and digitization requests, prioritizing requests from the Tufts community, including students, faculty, and staff. We will also do our best to respond to requests from external researchers. We cannot commit to specific turnaround times for research or digitization requests, unfortunately, but will respond to the best of our abilities.

We are unable to accept most donations of physical material until further notice. Please visit our Donate Collections page for further information on donating material.

Please contact us at archives@tufts.edu or through our Ask an Archivist service with questions. We are also available for archival research consultations and University records management advice via telephone or Zoom.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us. We want to do everything we can to ensure that students, faculty, and staff are receiving the reference and research support they need.
