Digital Collections and Archives COVID-19 Updates

DCA is adhering to University policies and guidelines regarding COVID-19. For the latest Tufts University updates please visit https://coronavirus.tufts.edu/.

This page is intended to provide updates regarding DCA and access to our services and the collections under our stewardship.

As of July 2020, for the health and safety of our staff and researchers, our reading room will be closed until at least January 2021.

As of July 2020 most staff are working remotely, but we have begun limited onsite staffing. Our public areas remain closed but we will do our best to respond to research questions and digitization requests, prioritizing requests from the Tufts community including students, faculty, and staff. We will do our best to respond to requests from all researchers. We cannot commit to specific turnaround times for research or digitization requests, unfortunately, but will respond to the best of our abilities. We are also unable to accept most donations of physical material until further notice. Please visit our Donate Collections page for further information on donating material.

Beyond the limited onsite staffing DCA archivists are still working remotely, answering questions and research inquiries using digital resources and working on metadata, digital processing, planning, and other projects.

Please contact us at archives@tufts.edu or our Ask an Archivist service with questions. We are also available for archival research consultations and University records management advice via phone or Zoom.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We want to do everything we can to ensure that students, faculty, and staff are receiving the reference and research support they need.
